Kelsey and I have known each other since middle school. I'm not really sure how, or why, we became friends in the first place, but it has been years! She has a contagious laugh and passion for people that is unlike anyone I've ever met. I'm lucky to call her a friend and to have as many memories as I do with her.

How they met: Kelsey and Steven's story began near the end of the Summer in 2011. Kelsey was visiting home from college and Steven was dog-sitting at his dad and step-mom's house next door while they were on vacation. While Steven was outside reading a book in a hammock, the families' dogs ran up to each other at the back yard fence and started playing. Kelsey came over to get her family's dog and the two started talking. After talking for several hours, they went their separate ways. Days later, a Facebook friend request came, followed by an invitation to go to the movies (which was subsequently turned down). Eventually, the two went on a proper date, and well... as they say, "the rest is history."

How Kelsey describes her hubs: Steven is an extremely hard working and persistent man. He is very passionate about following his dreams and taking care of the people who are important to him. I love that he doesn't give up and pushes himself and others to reach their goals. I love his sense of humor! He can always make me laugh. I love that Steven brings out the more spontaneous side of me and makes life very exciting! He is my best friend and he lets me talk to him about anything. We have been through a lot of challenging things together and we would do anything for each other.

How Steven describes his fiancé: Kelsey is a very kind and generous person - she's always willing to help someone in need. She's also one of the hardest working people I know - she has a demanding and time-consuming job that she never backs down from. And yet she still finds time to be an easy-going, fun-loving woman. I love her sense of humor and the fact that I can almost always make her laugh, her kind nature and her natural way with children. We've been through quite a bit the past few years and she's been the most supportive caring person in my life. I wouldn't be where I am now without her. I'm lucky to call her my best friend (and wife-to-be).

I can't wait for their wedding this July at Creekside!
