Arielle and Erik were my first wedding of 2017! They got married on a beautiful spring day in May and were visited by a massive rain storm just after their ceremony. I met the couple when they booked me before they even got engaged. Yep, that's right! Their engagement and proposal story is pretty cool, so if you haven't already, go check it out here!
Anyways, their day was a lot of (really well done) do-it-yourself details, like the flower bouquets and a lot of the decor! Arielle even did her own hair and makeup, even though her natural curls and bright blue eyes didn't need much to make them pop.
Her and Erik opted for a first look, which was perfect because shortly thereafter the storm blew in. It held out just long enough until the final moments of the ceremony, as they were pronounced husband and wife, and ran down the aisle, hand-in-hand, carefree and racing for shelter from the rain!
The rest of the afternoon, they spent dancing with their closest friends and family. There's few couples that can go through a rainstorm ceremony, enter their reception a little wet and covered in paint (from a ceremony painting), with a smile on their faces and ready to party. This couple was one of them.
Arielle + Erik, thanks so much for allowing me the pleasure of capturing your love story. From start to finish, you were both a joy to work with and I wish you all the best in your life together!
Big thanks to the vendors who made this happen!
