Wedding photographers are becoming such an integral part of wedding days. While your job as wedding photographer may not be "wedding coordinator," it is your job to educate your clients on how to get the best pictures. Often times, that involves offering advice on how ceremony times affect sunset portraits, how to dress for engagement sessions, and teaching your brides to look for good light in bridal suites when venue shopping. I do this by sending all of my new clients a welcome kit with a bridal guide loaded with information and some gifts and goodies.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph an event hosted by Bumble Bizz at Kendra Scott at Easton. The event was called "Trailblazers - Women in Business," and featured mimosas, networking, shopping, giveaways and four kick-ass boss babe speakers. It was such an honor to not only photograph these women, but also to hear their stories about overcoming hardships and their definition of success. From personal trainers to local bloggers; from dental students to even Miss Ohio herself, these women have seen it all and trailblazed the entire way.
So Alison was referred to me by Katie, since they're both students at Gahanna Lincoln (my alma mater). Alison's mom and I had been in touch for months just hoping for one nice day to get outside for some photos. Well, being that we live in Ohio, of course that didn't happen at the most opportune times, so we had to settle for indoors! Alison had mentioned wanting to shoot at Columbus Museum of Art, a first for me! I was so excited to get to photograph in this space. As I got to know Alison during her session, I could see what a perfect fit it was for her senior portraits.
